Leona P. Kondrk
Leona P. (Blazinsky) Kondrk, 84, of Allentown, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012. She was the wife of the late Robert N. Kondrk. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Blazinsky. Leona was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

Graveside will be held Friday 10AM in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Catasauqua, PA. Arrangements c/o Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

Joseph P. Kerin
Joseph Paul Kerin Jr., 86, of Whitehall, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of 62 years to Margaret (Elias) Kerin. Born in Luzerne, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Evans) Kerin. Joseph served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving on the USS EURYALE (AS-22). He retired from Western Electric after 33 years of service. Joseph was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. He was a life member of the American Legion Howard L. Peter Post 576 where he served as a past Officer, Sergeant At Arms and member of the Honor Guard. Joseph was also a member of the Fullerton Fire Co., Cross Keys and the former St. John’s Club. Joseph was a Chief Steward for Local 1522 IBEW for 20 years. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Boy Scouts of America.

A viewing will be held Friday 9:00-10:20AM with prayers and military honors at 10:20AM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown 18102. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown 18102. Burial to be private at a later date.

Andrew J. Kadas
Andrew J. Kadas, 84, of Allentown was received into the loving arms of the Lord on Monday, December 26, 2011. He was the husband of the late Eleanor R. (Seaman) Kadas. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Andrew J. Kadas and Mary (Zampar) Kadas Konye. He was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. Andrew served in the U.S. Merchant Marine during WWII and in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a General Foreman for the former Hutt & Wasserman Felt Hat Mfg. in Allentown and then for F & M Hat Mfg. in Denver, PA until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, Allentown.
Survivors: He will be sadly missed by his entire family, son, Jeffrey A. Kadas, and wife, Andrea, of Allentown; sister, Marie Ann Spillane, and husband, William, of Allentown; brother, Thomas Kadas, and wife, Frances, of Allentown; sister-in-laws, Marie Seaman, of Allentown, Mary Kadas, of Emmaus; step-brother, George Konye, of Catasauqua. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Kadas.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, 924 N Front St., Allentown 18102. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

Olga Kucynda
Olga (Polowka) Kucynda, 87, of West Easton, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011. She was the loving wife of 65 years to Michael Kucynda. Born in the Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Dmytro and Anna (Korchun) Polowka. She worked as a seamstress for Strongwear Pants Co. for over 20 years and retired as a custodian from Philip Lauer Middle School in 2001 after 15 years. Olga was a member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, West Easton.

Bonnie E. Kirkhoff
Bonnie E. Kirkhoff, 91, of Allentown passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 9, 2011. Born in Mohrsville, she was the daughter of the late James and Minnie (Himmelberger) Kirkhoff. She began her hospitality career in New York City, returning to Allentown to work at the Bethlehem Steel Club and ultimately Saucon Valley Country Club. Bonnie thoroughly enjoyed her career at Saucon, specializing in wedding planning, banquets, and day-to-day management of many of the Club’s restaurant, dining, and special event functions. In many ways the members and co-workers were her family. She spoke fondly of the families and friendships that were cultivated over her years of service.
Survivors: She will be sadly missed by her entire family. Siblings Helen Remlinger, James Kirkhoff, and William Kirkhoff and his wife, Thelma; nephew Rick Hafer and his wife Elizabeth; grand nephews and niece, Zachary, Weston, and Amaura. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert, and sisters Betty Hafer, Kathryn Groover, and Elsie Foster.

Gladys Kalavoda
Gladys M. (Beck) Kalavoda, 83, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Phoebe Home in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Kalavoda. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late James P. and Esther (Andreas) Beck. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church were she was involved in many activities. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club. Gladys was retired from Lucent Technologies where she was a member of the Pioneers.
She will be sadly missed by her entire family.
