Richard H. Seibert, Jr., 81, of Allentown passed away November 6, 2015. He was the loving husband of the late Mary (Liskanich) Seibert. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Marie (Fox) and Richard H. Seibert, Sr. Richard worked for GE for 34 years and then owned and operated Seibert Time Service, Allentown. He was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors:
Children- Richard III of Allentown, Christopher and wife Patricia of Colorado Springs, Jeffrey of Allentown and Kathleen of Allentown; 3 Grandchildren; Caregiver- Cathy Dengler. He was predeceased by his sister- Linda Stahley.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:30PM in St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery on Mundy Lane in Whitehall. Arrangements care of Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.
Alexander M. Solga
Alexander M. Solga, 102 of Allentown, passed away June 13, 2015 at Whitehall Manor. He was the loving husband of the late Helen M. (Ondrovic) Solga. Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Majtan) Solga. Alex served in the U.S. Army for four years during WWII in the European theater (the Signal Corp), and received multiple medals for his service in the military. He retired from Mack Trucks in 1976 after 25 ½ years of service. Alex was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, their Holy Name Society, and the Boy Scout Troop 102 where he spent many a weekend in the Poconos with the troop. He was a member of the Jednota Local #567, the Slovak Catholic Sokols Local #78, the Mack Trucks Retiree Assoc. and the United Auto Workers Union #677.
Alex was an avid golfer and could be found many days on the courses throughout the valley. He loved to fix things and tinker with TV and radio repairs on his Saturday mornings. He recently celebrated his 102nd birthday with family and friends at Whitehall Manor and finished his celebration by dancing a polka.
After retirement, Alex and his wife Helen traveled throughout the US and Europe and loved to share stories regarding his adventures in his latter years. Alex loved life and lived it to the fullest and touched countless lives by his kindness and compassion. His most treasured moments were the holiday celebrations, the traditional food with recipes brought over from Slovakia, and singing old time songs.
Survivors: Daughter- Joanne E. and husband Martin Ryan of Mahopac, NY; Sons - Michael R. Solga of Bath, Dr. Richard Solga of Schnecksville; 3 Grandchildren – Michele, Lucas and wife Maria, and Gwendolyn, one great grandchild, Alexa Rose, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by siblings- Albert, John, Joe, Anna, Frank, Paul and Seraphine.
A viewing will be held Friday 6/19/15 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday 6/20/2015 from 9:30 to 10:30 in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Saturday 6/20/15 at 11AM in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

Rose Sagasitz
Rose (Mittura) Sagasitz, 90, of Allentown, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015. She was the loving wife of the late William Sagasitz. Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Mittura. Rose was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Allentown. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Daughters- Dolores and husband Robert Vrecsics of Allentown, Marlene and husband Daryl Hendricks of Allentown; Grandchildren- John Walsh Jr. and wife Danielle, Jeremy Hendricks and wife Amanda, Christopher Hendricks and wife Krysta; Great Grandson- Tristan Walsh; Siblings- Steve of Kansas City, Andrew of Virginia, Eleanor Herman of Jacksonville, NC.
She was predeceased by 13 siblings.
A viewing will be held Wednesday 9-10:15AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30AM all taking place in St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church Parish Center 920 S. 2nd St. Allentown, PA 18103. Burial to follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Whitehall. Arrangements care of Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

Rose Schrampf
Rose K. (Kamyniski) Schrampf, 87, of Allentown, passed away May 3, 2015 in Manor Care 2029 Bethlehem. She was the loving wife of the late Edward Schrampf. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Kamyniski. Rose retired after 27 years of service at the former AT&T Western Electric and Lucent Technologies.
Survivors: Daughters- Regina Fink of Allentown, Kristina and husband William Mosser of Gonzales, LA; Grandsons- Todd and wife Erica Mosser of Wynnewood, Mark Mosser of Arkadelphia, AR; Great Grandsons- Jackson Cole Mosser and Ryan George Mosser; She was predeceased by her siblings- Mary Hutzaluk, Ann McGinley, Helen Rusinko, Sophie Stupak, Julia Nonemaker, Anthony Kamyniski, John Kamyniski and infants Catherine and Michael Kamyniski.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 18th at 10AM in St. Ursula's Catholic Church 1300 Broadway Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

John Segan
John Segan, 96, of Allentown, passed away March 24, 2015 in Phoebe Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of the late Anna C. (Chankey) Segan. Born in Ormrod, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Drociak) Segan. John retired in 1972 from Bethlehem Steel after 31 years of service. He was a faithful member of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, serving on many church committees. John enjoyed teaching others how to make Ukrainian Easter Eggs.

Sophie Slavish
Sophie K. Slavish, 91, of Bethlehem Township died Sunday 1/18/15. She was predeceased by her husband
Alex who died 11-18-2000. They were married for 52 years.
Sophie was an honors graduate of Drexel University and was Head Dietitian at St Luke's Hospital,
Bethlehem, PA for 12 years and a Tax Preparer for H&R Block for 15 years.
She was an accordion soloist, charter member of Earl Held's All Girl Band and Orchestra and
also played alto saxophone. She loved to sing & in 1941 was named one of only two sopranos
chosen to represent Nazareth High School in District Chorus.
While at Drexel, she gave an accordion concert for the faculty and student body and volunteered
at the International House of Philadelphia. She was was also active in the Drexel Glee Club and was
a member of the Archery Team.
Born in Nazareth, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jakym and Anna (Procak) Kowalczk.
She was a member of St Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Allentown, PA, member of the Sisterhood
of former Soyuz Ukrainok and Sunday School teacher for 13 years.
She was a member of the Drexel University Alumni Association, past member of the Bethlehem
American Association of University Women, past president of the PTA, the LV Dietetics Association and
Quota Club of Nazareth.
Survivors: Daughters, Dr. Olivia A. Slavish, wife of Michael Deli of Western Springs, IL,
Dr. Lydia Slavish of West Chester, PA, Alexis P. Slavish of Bethlehem, PA.
Sisters: Jennie K. Kramer of Allentown, PA and Miriam Nielson of Dayton, Ohio
She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Marshall, of Annapolis, MD

Irene Skaff
Irene (Morris) Skaff, 99y 5m of Allentown, passed away in Cedarbrook Nursing Home on Nov. 29, 2014. Born in Luzerne County, PA Irene was the daughter of the late Agnes (Cleary) and David Morris. Irene was the wife of the late Isaac Skaff. She served with the National Red Cross during WWII and with the Republican National Committee for many years, and worked as a Nurses Aid at Sacred Heart Hospital. Irene will be remembered for the care and love for her family and the caring compassionate person that she was in taking care of many other children throughout her life.
Irene was the mother of Isaac Skaff (Bill); the late Helen wife of the late Joseph Loper; Agnes wife of Lou Lutterschmidt and Mary Anne wife of Dr. Rudolph Preletz. Irene was the grandmother of 10 children, great grandmother of 21 children and great great grandmother of 3 children. She was the sister of Catherine Morris and was predeceased by 4 brothers.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday 12-1PM with a service at 1PM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.

Harriet E. (Miller) Sefick, 87, of Allentown, passed away Nov 3, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Hattie (Laub) Miller. She was the wife of the late Stephen Sefick.
Survivors: Son- Paul Sefick Sr.; Grandson- Paul Sefick Jr.; Great Granddaughter- Angelina Sefick; Daughter-In-Law- Eleanor Fox; Brothers- Harold and Mervin Miller; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son- Scott, 4 brothers and 6 sisters and her companion Hans Morgensen.
