James A. Senape, 91, of Allentown, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Josephine (Narr) Senape. James graduated from Allentown High School in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He retired in 1983 from Bethlehem Steel’s Machine Shop #2, after 32 years of service. James was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church.

Anna Segan
Anna C. (Chankey) Segan, 98, formerly of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013. She was the loving wife for 72 years to John Segan. Born in Mahoney Plains, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Medic) Chankey. Anna retired as a supervisor for Maiden Fair. She was a member of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

She was predeceased by her siblings- Catherine Hutzayluk, Rose Obleschuk, Michael Chankey and Walter Chankey.

Martin Stellar
Martin J. Stellar, 91, of Whitehall and Zephyrhills, FL passed away Friday, March 08, 2013 at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton. He was happily married to the late Grace Foulke for 66 years who passed away in 2010. Born in Bath, he was the son of the late Martin and Theresa (Desh) Stellar. He proudly served his country honorably in the US Army during WWII stationed in New Guinea. He was employed by JB Van Scivers for 33 years. After he retired, he and Grace became snow birds wintering in Zephyrhills, Florida, and spent summers in the cabin he built in the Pocono Mountains. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #0922.

Emma T. Sawruk
Emma T. (Krobath) Sawruk, 88 of Allentown, gently passed on January 31, 2013, in the caring hands of St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the beloved widow of Walter Sawruk who passed away on June 21, 1983.
Emma was born in Allentown and she was the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Pfiefer) Krobath. She attended William Allen High School, Allentown.
She worked diligently for eleven years at Lutron Electronics Co. Inc. in Coopersburg until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Paul’s RC Church, Allentown.
Emma is survived by her sons, Walter (Carmela) of Shillington, PA and James (Jennifer) of Fountain Hill, PA; grandchildren Nicholas, Joseph, Kathryn, James, Kelly, Timothy and Shawna. She also was a Great Grammy to Emma Rose, Aidan Paul, William III, Kiley and Annabella.
She was predeceased by her loving son Michael (Nancy) Sawruk, her brother Charles B. (Katherine “Kay”) Krobath and her sister Hilda T. Krobath.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 8th at St. Paul’s Church, 920 S. 2nd St., Allentown, where relatives and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown.

Rose Salovay
Rose (Konapelsky) Salovay, 95, of Allentown passed away Monday, January 21, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Salovay and mother to Helen Schrantz and the late Michael E. Salovay. Born in Hudson, NY she was the last surviving child of ten children, of Peter and Mary (Pelehata) Konapelsky. The family moved to Cementon when Rose was young. She worked for 30 years at Allison Knitting Mills. She was a longtime member of the ILGWU and an Eagle Scout mentor of her Great- Grandson Greg. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak RC Church. Rose was an avid motorcycle rider in her younger days. She lived to see 4 of her 6 Great- Grandchildren graduate High School and to see all of them turn 16.

Taylor Schultheis
Taylor Christian Schultheis, 18, of Slatington went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Taylor was a high school senior. He loved music, especially singing and had participated in the school chorus. Taylor is the son of Susan and Joseph R. Schultheis.
Survivors: Taylor is survived by his parents; brothers, Aaron and JT at home; and grandmothers, Marie F. Haytmanek of Allentown and Helen B. Schultheis of Easton. Services: Services will be held Wednesday, November 14 from 6 to 8 p.m., with a service at 8 p.m. in the Kohut Funeral Home Inc., 950 N. Front St., Allentown, PA 18102.

Doris E. Svitilla
Doris E. (Bowlby) Svitilla, 80, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012. She was the wife of the late Joseph Svitilla. Born in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marion (Brenieser) Bowlby. She was a member of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church where she was the first Secretary of the Senior Citizens Group and a previous member of the Ladies Auxiliary where she once served as Treasurer. Doris worked at Burlington Coat Factory for 16 years.
