Michael J. Zapach, 88, of Allentown, passed away October 15, 2023. He was the loving husband of 61 years to Janice E. (Fidler) Zapach. Born in Freeland, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Kost) Zapach. Michael served in the U.S. Army during Peacetime. He retired from Capital Blue Cross Insurance Company. Michael was a devote member of the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Allentown. He served his church as a cantor, choir director, past president, past treasurer and helped to make pierogies. Michael enjoyed fishing, gardening and serving in church; but most of all he valued his family. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors: wife- Janice E. Zapach; daughter- Michelle Clark and her husband Brian; granddaughter- Mikayla Clark; great grandchildren- Ameesi, Amahni and Aseeri; sister- Ann Marie Hanas. He was predeceased by his son- Michael John Zapach Jr. and his brother- Joseph Zapach.
A viewing will be held in the church on Thursday, October 19th 10-11AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 11AM at The Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Orthodox Church 703 N. 6th St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in Laurel Cemetery.

Paul Zaboy
Paul A. Zaboy, 59, of Whitehall, passed away January 19, 2022. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Boleslaw A. and Wanda S. (Solomon) Zaboy. He was graduate of Dieruff High School and Lincoln Technical School. Paul retired from Agere. He enjoyed coin collecting with his father, socializing with his close friends and will be missed deeply by “Applesauce.”
Survivors: sisters- Ann and husband Paul Bussiere, Karen and husband Kevin Baldwin and many cousins.
A calling time will be held on Thursday, January 27 9-10AM with a service at 10AM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Anne Zvitkovitz
Anne Zvitkovitz, 95, of Center Valley, formerly of Allentown, passed into eternity on July 29, 2021 at Sacred Heart Assisted Living in Center Valley, PA. Anne was born in Allentown, on April 11, 1926, a daughter of the late Anna (Kloiber) and Pius Zvitkovitsch. She was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Church, Allentown. After graduating from Allentown Central Catholic High School, she did secretarial work. She then attended Gwynedd-Mercy College for her teaching degree and taught 5th Grade in the Allentown Diocese until retirement.
Survivors: sister, Theresa Califano of Middlesex, NJ, sister-in-law Mary Zvitkovitz of Bethlehem, PA, 4 nephews, 5 nieces, 10 grand nephews and 10 grand nieces.
Predeceased by brothers Joseph, William, and Richard Zvitkovitz, brother-in-law Anthony Califano and sister-in-law Katherine Zvitkovitz and Helen Zvitkovitz.
Services: Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, August 7th from 9-10AM at St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM. Burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

Anna Zbaudin
Anna Zbaudin, 97, of Catasauqua, passed away April 12, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late Wasyl Zbaudin. Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late John and Justina Kostyk. She worked previously in housekeeping for Sacred Heart Hospital. Anna was a member of St. Marys Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Survivors: sons- Myron and wife Nancy of Catasauqua, John and companion Joyce Smith of South Whitehall, Yar and companion Maria Hebur of Albrightsville and grandson- David of California.
Services will be held Privately for the family.

Mary Zatko
Mary (Bigatel) Zatko, 91, of Allentown, passed away Friday. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph F. Zatko. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Anselmo and Juiseppina (Fulan) Bigatel. Mary retired as a proofreader for the Morning Call newspaper. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church.
Survivors: sons- Joseph Zatko of Whitehall, James Zatko of Kentucky, Thomas Zatko and wife Lisa of Washington state; grandchildren- Kimberlee, Jennifer, Maria and Paula; great grandchildren- Jacob and Kyle; loving sister Tish Mill of Florida. Mary was predeceased by a brother Angelo and a sister Sarah.
Due to the virus restrictions, Services will be Private for the family with no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date for friends and family. Arrangements are entrusted to Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

Stephanie Zukowski
Stephanie A. (Sedlacek) Zukowski, 94, of Allentown, passed away September 27, 2019 in Lehigh Center, Macungie. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas Day and then to the late Chester Zukowski. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Florian and Mary (Koncir) Sedlacek. Stephanie worked for many years as a seamstress and then for the Catholic Social Agency for 15 years before retirement. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Stephanie enjoyed making clothing and costumes for herself and her family. She loved watching and cheering on her great granddaughter Amanda’s softball games.
Survivors: daughter- Patricia (Day) Weber of Broadheadsville; grandchildren- Timothy and Thomas Day, Jennifer (Lambert) Balliet and Jessica (Lambert) Bryant; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister- Lil Marks of Allentown. She was predeceased by her daughter- Stephanie Day Lambert; sisters- Bernie Dini and Mary Domyan.
A calling time will be held Wednesday, October 2nd 9-10AM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30AM in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.

Doris Zibura
Doris J. Zibura died surrounded by her family and the loving staff of Cedarbrook Nursing Home on March 15, 2018. She was 91.
Doris was born on April 21, 1926 in Allentown to her parents, John and Anna Heard.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, sisters Dorothy, Irene, Beatrice, Ruth and brothers William and Clarence. She is survived by her daughter Carol Hefele, wife of Michael of Allentown, her grandson Tyler Hefele and wife Karlen of Allentown, life companion Leo Bauer of Whitehall and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church. Calling hours will be at the church at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. Please no flowers. In lieu of flowers please donate to Unit D4 of the Cedarbrook Nursing Home, 350 S. Cedarbrook Road, Allentown, PA 18104 where Doris received such loving care.
We are grateful that we have this time to celebrate Doris’s 91 years on earth. May she rest in peace. Arrangements being handled by Kohut Funeral Home.
Wanda Zaboy
Wanda S. (Solomon) Zaboy, 87, of Allentown, passed away January 24, 2017 in Fellowship Manor. She was the loving wife of the late Boleslaw A. Zaboy, who passed in 2011. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Toczek) Solomon. Wanda retired as a machine operator for Modern Clothing. She was a member of Ss Peter and Paul Polish Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir for over 75 years, and was even a soloist for 50 years. Wanda was very active in the church pierogie making group (also helping to form and manage) with her friend Bernice. She was very active with the church Bazaars. She was also a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Sodality. Wanda enjoyed cooking, needle point, ceramics, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors: Son- Paul Anthony Zaboy; Daughters- Karen and husband Kevin Baldwin, Ann and husband Paul Bussiere; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings- Josephine Kuschak, Stella Twoyzdlo, Helen Utsch and Edward Solomon.
A viewing will be held on Friday 9-9:45AM with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM all in Ss Peter and Paul Polish Catholic Church 1065 Fullerton Ave Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 3:30 with a Calling Time 3-3:30PM in Zentz Community Center at Fellowship. Arrangements care of Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.
