Marie C. (Feichtl) DalMaso, 97, of Whitehall, passed away October 22, 2025. Born in Homepark, Cementon, she was the daughter of the late Adolf and Sophia (Weslock) Feichtl. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Reno F. DalMaso, in 2018. Marie retired from Western Electric/Lucent Technologies after 30 years of service, most proud of her work in the MOS-V Cleanroom. She was a longtime member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and a volunteer with the Telephone Pioneers of America. Part of the Greatest Generation, Marie danced many a Jitterbug with her favorite partner, Reno, to the music of the Big Bands as well as Polkas performed by local bands. Marie loved cooking and baking for gatherings with family and friends. She enjoyed playing games, especially word games like Scrabble and was an avid reader. In retirement she traveled the world. Above all, her family was the most important part of her life. Known for her big heart and positive attitude, she will be deeply missed.
Maryann A. (Dzumek) Daniels, 77, of Allentown, passed away September 3, 2025. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Andrej and Mary (Simak) Dzumek. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church and First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She graduated in 1969 from St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Reading, PA and went on to work at the Swedish Medical Center in Denver, CO, then at Allentown General Hospital and finally to Sacred Heart Hospital from which she retired after 36 years of service. Maryann continued her education throughout her career. She enjoyed sitting with her patients, holding their hand and getting their whole story; whether it was to help keep company or to help them pass on. She was an avid gardener, loved animals, enjoyed day trips to the shore and doing home improvement projects. She will be deeply missed.
James R. DeWalt, 78 years old, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on May 10th at home with his family by his side. He was born December 1, 1946 in Allentown, son of the late Anna (Cavallin) DeWalt and the late William DeWalt. Jimmy was married to his loving wife, Elizabeth (Kruk) DeWalt for 47 years. He was a 1964 graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School. Jimmy was an ironworker for 34 years, a past president, vice president, and executive board member of Ironworkers Local 36. Family was important to Jimmy and he cherished being with them. He enjoyed golfing, reading, and spending the winter months in Florida. Jimmy will be lovingly remembered for his positive outlook on life.
Jane (Andraszek) Duda, 81, of Allentown, passed away February 8, 2024. She was the loving wife of 52 years to Peter A. Duda. Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Salomea (Stanczuk) Andraszek. Jane was a member of the former Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She will be deeply missed.
Christine C. (Geiger) Deprill, 68, of Allentown, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on October 31, 2023. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Calvin C. and Sonia C. (Evans) Geiger. She was predeceased by her husband John F. Deprill and sister Linda J. Geiger.
George C. Dixon, 74, of Upper Saucon Township passed away peacefully on August 1, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Paul and Bernice (Mathisen) Dixon. George worked as an English teacher for Quakertown Community School District for 31 years. Prior to this position he received a M.A. in teaching of English from Villanova University. He served as a sergeant in the 11th Aviation Group USAREUR. George was a voracious reader, intellectual, stoic, gentleman, bird watcher, genealogist, a walking buddy, and loved dearly by many. He will be sadly missed by his entire family and friends. Survivors: children Zachary of Baltimore, Anna of Salt Lake City; grandchildren Cecily and George of Baltimore; brother Paul E. Dixon of Bedford, NY; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Maryann (Matsco) Dixon. Services: A calling will be held on Saturday 9:30-10:30AM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.
Margaret R. (Heisler) Dziedzic, 99, of Allentown, passed away December 6, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony Blahut and then the late Stanley Dziedzic. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Naomi (Schierer) Heisler. She worked for O&H Manufacturing Company for 20 years before her retirement. Margaret was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. She will be deeply missed.
