Helen Fabik, 87, of Whitehall, passed away August 23, 2021. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna A. (Hrin) Fabik. Helen’s niece has written a description of her beloved aunt: “My aunt Helen had a zest for life…from traveling the world to lunches with the girls to casino fun. She was the “fun aunt” to us kids. She owned one of the very first Ford Mustangs and had us kids believe it could fly (BIG smiles). She had a love for dogs and always had a pocket full of treats for them. She was a dog mom to a collie- shepherd mix named Wags, who loved and would protect her dearly. My aunt was one of the greatest story tellers…she would just make it up as she went. She would even have you believe she was a nun strait out of the convent (so many giggles). She would make anything fun, even when she worked for Western Electric back in the day. Like so many of my family members that passed before her and are passing my heart goes out…they are the brave. My heart breaks…as she will truly be missed.”
