Louise M. (Harsch) Miller, 86, of Allentown, passed away September 13, 2025 at Fellowship Manor. She was the loving wife of the late David F. Miller. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late August and Mary (Tanhauser) Harsch. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. Louise enjoyed sewing. She will be deeply missed.
Robert Molchan, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away in his home on July 7, 2025. He was the son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Molchan. He was a loving husband to Alice Molchan and the late Ellen (Shreiber) Molchan. Robert was a graduate of Allentown High School in 1958. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corp for four years including two years aboard the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid. Robert spent much of his work career at Mack Trucks in Allentown before retiring in 2003. He remained active throughout his life, enjoying baseball, golf, and bowling. But his true passion was being the lead singer in “The Steel City Band” with his friends, Al Toth, Jim Brekus and Edgie & Jeremy Kittek.
RoseMary Mayernik, 95, of Whitehall, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, while residing at Fellowship Manor. She was the loving wife of Frank L. Mayernik for 55 years until his passing in 2010. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Karol and Amalia Prachar. RoseMary was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. In the 1950’s she worked for Queen City Loan Company, even making red print headlines during the time of a string of robberies. Post her career, she became a homemaker. RoseMary will be remembered for her care and dedication to her family, her “loveable sandwiches” and her kind & quiet demeanor. She enjoyed traveling with Frank all around the U.S., family trips to Wildwood, loved the Nittany Lions (watching every game from start to finish no matter what time they were on TV), and playing her favorite game of Scrabble; especially her weekly game and visit from her niece, Susan.
Shirley E. Miller, 70, of Allentown, passed away October 17, 2024 at Above and Beyond at the Knights. She was the loving wife of 52 years to Leonard Douglas Morgan. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Rachel (Kaufman) Miller. She retired from Durkey’s French Foods, after 21 years of service. Shirley enjoyed doing artwork, especially painting, and had attended Baum School of Art. She also enjoyed spending her time boating. She will be deeply missed.
Dale Robert Montoney, 72, of Allentown passed away January 1, 2024. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Donald and Esther Ann (Yeisley) Montoney. Dale worked for over 30 in housekeeping for Westminster Village Nursing Home. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. He will be deeply missed.
Thomas J. Minarovic, 84, of Whitehall, passed away March 15, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital from complications of a massive heart attack after a Courageous 4 year battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was the loving husband of 62 years to Karen L. (Fouts) Minarovic. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frank and Ruth (Long) Minarovic. Tom graduated from William Allen High School. He worked for the City of Allentown in both the streets and parks department. Tom ascended to the rank of Supervisor of the watershed department, Lil’ Lehigh Parkway, a job which he loved. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to spend his time in the outdoors, especially in “God’s Country,” Potter County, PA. He loved professional sports; his favorite teams were the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He was a proud member of the armed forces serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the Italian American Bocce Club. He will be deeply missed.
Anthony (Tony) M. Moncman, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away January 26, 2023. He was the husband of Diane (Reinert) Moncman. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Anthony and Pauline (Cherney) Moncman. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church where he served as an altar boy during his youth, and later in life also played on the Church’s fastpitch softball team and bowled a 300 game in the Church’s bowling league. He was a coach and mentor for many local youth sports teams, and the highlight of his coaching career was as an assistant coach on his son Tim’s football staff at Liberty High School. Tony was a die-hard Boston Red Sox, Green Bay Packers, and most of all Philadelphia Flyers fan, who enjoyed watching and rooting for those teams through good times and bad. Tony was an avid outdoorsman who also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he cherished his role as a husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.
